Charlie B. Cox, age 73, born July 26, 1936 in Hartford, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. He married Sharon Cotton October 28, 1968 in Wilmington, IL. Survived by his loving wife, Sharon (nee Cotton) Cox; daughters, Irene Cox of Crest hill, IL and Tammy (Rich) Vandiver of Galesburg, IL; grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, and Alexis; brothers, Leslie Cox and Leonard Cox; sisters, Ruby Purkey, Margaret Cox, and Linda Andrews. Preceded in death by a son, Glendale Cox; parents, Charles and Nellie (nee Koker) Cox; sisters, Vurble Smith and Ann Marie Wright; brothers, Glen Edward Cox and Forrest J. Cox. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Service will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family would be appreciated.
