Dorothy (nee Bridgman) Shanholtzer, age 81, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Gertrude Bridgman; her husband Aubrey Shanholtzer; daughter Carolyn Sue in infancy and a brother, Roger Bridgman. Survived by her sons, Michael (Patricia) Shanholtzer, Donald (Lori) Shanholtzer and daughter Lisa (Rick) Balon; grandchildren, Andrea (Jeff) Archambeault, Steven (Lindsay) Shanholtzer, Ashley Shanholtzer, Rachel Shanholtzer, Allison Shanholtzer, Josh Balon and Jenny Balon. Dorothy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoy spending time with her family. She loved 'keeping up with the times' including computers and modern music, enjoying a wide range of music from Barry Manilow to Aerosmith. Family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 4 to 8pm at the funeral home. The funeral service with be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Grace United Methodist Church 1718 Avalon Ave., Joliet, IL. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
