Otto Semrau was born December 8, 1938 in Poland to Ferdinand and Natalia (nee Janowski) Semrau. He passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Mr. Semrau emigrated here from Germany in 1956. He worked as a tool grinder for TC industries for 50 years until his retirement in 2006. Otto is survived by his wife, Sherry (nee Wolff), whom he married May 8, 1976 in Elgin, Illinois; his children Natalia and David (Cathleen) Semrau; grandchild Dexter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Hugo and Eduard. Friends and family are invited to gather at Crystal Lake Evangelical Free Church, 575 Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake ,Thursday, September 30, from 5 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604.
