Bill was born June 2, 1952 in Chicago to William and Dolores (nee Zemba) Meyer. He passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Northwestern Memorial Medical Center in Chicago. Bill had a flare for creativity and enjoyed hiking on nature trails, listening to music, creating custom compilations of music and reading (especially the bible and historical biblical material), and planning road trips with family to view amazing sites across North America. He had a particular love for the forest, gardening, and his family and friends. He never missed a party... unless of course he was the planned center of attention. Bill retired from Abbott Laboratories in 2007 where he worked as a control and instrumentation designer. Bill is survived by his wife Mary (nee Hunter); children Lauren (Jacob) Alexander, John Moreno, Ian Meyer, and Micheal (Laura) Moreno; grandchildren Maya, Gavin, Sarrah, Jaden, Seth, Raelyn, and Kylie; his parents William and Dolores; brothers Kurt (Brenda)Meyer, Karl (Jean) Meyer, and Kenneth Meyer; sister Heidi (Norbert) Chmura Arrangements were handled by Windridge Funeral Home, 104 High Road, Cary, IL 60013. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Windridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to Ann & Robert H.
