Alice Martinez Barrameda, age 91, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.

Survived by her children, Tomas and wife, Lourdes Barrameda, Rosemarie and husband, Larry Molomaya, Benedicto and wife, Paula Barrameda, Marissa and husband, Angelito Paras, and Edna Barrameda and Mary Duarte; son-in-law, Jonah Tarley; grandchildren, Jan Denise and husband John Villareal, Abraham Benjamin (Abben) and wife, Michelle Barrameda, Mark Barrameda, Claire Barrameda, Hans Patrick Paras, Hanna Patricia Paras, and Jasmine Tarley; great grandchildren, Evelyn Malaya Villareal, and Aevan Barrameda; brothers, Fr. Edmundo Martinez, and Antonio and wife, Heidi Martinez Jr.; plus numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins from different parts of the world.

Preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Barrameda; daughter, Evelyn Barrameda-Tarley; and her parents, Antonio and wife, Salud Martinez Sr.

Mama is a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She cared for her family very much and has raised her children with unconditional love, care, patience, and compassion. We would have wanted Mama to be with us longer, but God had a better plan for her, bringing her up in glory to be with Him forever. We know that the exact time of our birth and the exact time of our death as well as all the days in between are all known and determined by God. For Mama this was 91 years of God's faithfulness, guidance, and wisdom throughout her journey on earth. We entrust Mama in the hands of our loving Father in heaven. We are excited to meet her again someday.

A Memorial Service in the Philippines was held on April 1, 2025, at 4:00 PM, Manila Time. A video recording of the Service will be provided to anyone who requests it.

Funeral services for Alice will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 9:00 am at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Visitation will be held from 8:00 am until time of services. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park I, 23060 W. Jefferson St., Joliet Illinois 60431.
