Betty Lou Lichtenwalter Nee Burson Age 88, Passed away peacefully Thursday May 11, 2017 at her home in Manhattan. Betty is survived by her children, Lorie Jean (Don) Hubert, David A. Lichtenwalter, a granddaughter Denise (Mike) George, and a great grandson Tyler George. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Roger Lichtenwalter and her parents Alfred and Pauline Burnson. Betty was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a dedicated R.N. that worked at Silver Cross Hospital in the maternity wing and retired after many years of faithful service. Funeral services for Betty will be held Tuesday May 16, 2017, 12 noon at the Woodlawn Funeral Home 3201 W Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Visitation Tuesday May 16, 2017 10am until 12 Noon. Internment at Maple Hill Cemetery Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Silver Cross Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated.
