Cathy S. Hill (Walker) age 66, passed on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Survived by her husband of 49 years, Craig Hill; children, Jeremy Hill, Joshua (Sara) Hill, and Jacob (Ellen) Hill; grandchildren, Damon, Cayden, Jordan, Piper, Ashton, Adelyn, Avery, and Molly; great grandchildren, Leviathan and Vaylin; siblings, Rick (Maureen) Walker, Cheryl Bauer, and Cindy "Cricket" Walker. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lee (Katherine) Walker, and her niece, Julie Bauer.

Cathy grew up on the East side of Joliet in the Ridgewood neighborhood. She attended Joliet

East High School where she fell in love with her husband and best friend of 49 years, Craig Hill.

She loved to dance, sing and play Bingo. Cathy was always involved with her children,

volunteering for school activities or helping to manage their baseball teams. Cherished

memories were made on many family camping trips to Cedar Lake, IN where the family's love

for boating began aboard the Tiki II and Sue Jane. Cathy has been on numerous cruises,

including a 25th Anniversary return cruise to the Bahamas where she and Craig had

honeymooned in 1974. Cathy always loved spending time on the water on their boat "Chill-N"

with friends and family.

Cathy was a loyal employee, working 17 years at the Joliet Country Club as well as 17 years as a

member of GCIU Local 458M with Deaton Kennedy where she retired in 2014. After their

retirement Cathy and Craig, "The Chills" as they were called by many, moved to Mesa, Arizona

where they enjoyed better boating weather and soaking up the sun.

Celebration of life for Cathy will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 9:00am – 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the family request plants instead of flowers.
