Charles E. Wilda 'Chuck' Passed away on January 6, 2017, at Silver Cross Hospital, with his family by his side. Survived by his five sisters Kathleen (the late Loyd) Martin, Barbara (the late Forrest) Liles, Loretta (James) Decman, Helen (Ronald) Bacza, Marcella (William) Arnold and two brothers Joseph (Paulette) and Robert Wilda. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his loving companion Donna Chestnut; parents R. Earl and Marie (nee Zerbes) Wilda; one brother John Wilda and one sister Irene Bakalar. Veteran of the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. Member of Knights of Columbus. Chuck enjoyed fishing with his favorite buddies Ron, Rob and the late Tony. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him especially Dale and Toby, who were always there to help him when he needed it. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. John''s Catholic Food Pantry 404 N. Hickory St. Joliet, IL 60435 or to the Cass Creek Animal Rescue in New Lenox, Illinois in Chuck''s name would be appreciated. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 PM. Chapel Service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park I.
