Cheryl was born September 28, 1946 in Chicago. She grew up in Cicero where she raised her family with her husband of 56 years. First and foremost Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother. She was always involved in her children's activities. Whether it was driving her children (and their friends) to school activities or stepping up to supervise those activities, she always helped provide her children with every opportunity to enjoy their childhood. She wanted her children to experience life and expand their horizons.
She was an avid outdoorswoman and she instilled a love and respect of nature in her children. She enjoyed boating and fishing with her family. Many family vacations were spent on the water. She spent many weekends at her "little house in the country" with her faithful four legged children who occupied a large area of her heart (Sugar, Apache, Cherokee, Ranger, Cheyanne, Shadow, and Ace).
Cheryl worked for Mary Queen of Heaven rectory and Morton East High School when her children were younger. After that she was employed by government agencies; the IRS and The Department of Veterans Affairs. She was most proud of the fact that she retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after 14 years of service. She spent her retirement enjoying spending time with her children, grandchildren and dogs.
Cheryl passed away peacefully in her home in Minooka with her children by her side.
Per Cheryl's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
