Cynthia L. Wright-Dixon, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Born to Ender Louise and Arthel in Berrien Springs, Michigan on February 13, 1966, at 2:48am. Raised in both Benton Harbor and Detroit Michigan. Was accepted in Christ in 1973 at Hope Will Baptist Church and later followed Islam under the Nation of Islam in 1983 at Temple #1 under Minister Fard Muhammad and Minister Louis Farrakhan. Under the marriage of Michael Anthony Sr., born three beautiful children, Lolisha, Michael and Artenia and under the union with Andre Raphael born a beautiful son, Emir. Retired from UCP of Joliet, IL.

Prayer: Surely, I've turned myself to Thee… Trying to be upright to whom all prayers are due. To him that originated the Heavens and Earth. And I am not of the polytheists.

Survived by her children, Lolisha Dixon, Michael (Amanda) Dixon, Artenia (Andrew) Brown and Emir Dixon; longtime partner, Andre Dixon; grandchildren, Javon Bailey, Jaleelah Dixon, Jaleel Dixon, Queen Okeke, Anthony Dixon, Brice Dixon, Brianna Dixon, Morgan Dixon, Michael Dixon III, Madison Dixon, Wyatt Coleman-Dixon, and Michaela Brown; brother, Tony (Thea) Whitlow. Several dear cousins, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ender Louise Wright, and Arthel Mason.

Message from our mom, "I can't tell you what you should do, But I can tell you what not to do! Mind your business and stay in your lane." I Love you always, Mom.

Memorial service for Cynthia will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 3:00 PM. Memorial Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until time of service. Interment was held privately at Elmhurst Cemetery.
