Daniel James Knudson, age 29 of Lemont, IL, originally from Plainfield, IL passed away at MacNeal Hospital on Thursday, September 23, 2021, with his family by his side. Beloved son of James D. Knudson, Jr. and Carol (nee Cramer) Knudson, devoted brother to Corynn Knudson, adored Fiancé of Melanie Nemec, and father to Savhannah Knudson. Great friend of Paul Trezek, Lourdes Knudson and Lynn Nemec. Loving Grandson of Donna M Knudson and loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents James D. Knudson, Sr., Robert E. Cramer and Charlotte M. Cramer. Dan was a very funny and highly intelligent man who inspired everyone he knew with his stories and knowledge of just about every subject you could think of. He became very passionate in politics and worldwide events in his recent years and was mesmerizing to listen to how he talked about life and life events. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all. Private graveside services for immediate family only will be held at Plainfield Township Cemetery 15502 Joliet Road Plainfield, IL 60544 Monday, September 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m.
