Denise L. Blake, age 61, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025

Survived by her children, Jason Michael Fitzgerald, Nicole Darlene Fitzgerald, and Jayme Lynn Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Gilberto Justiniano, Aaliyah Van Us, Diamond Fitzgerald, Zackary Latham, Lillian Latham, and Bella Fitzgerald; mother, Barbara Bricco; siblings, Tammy Yarbrough, Barbie Sherman, and Rose (Daniel) Galindo. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her grandchildren, Andrew Fitzgerald, Jason Fitzgerald, and Marcos Peter; father, Michael Jackson; and her brother, Clifford "Sonny" Boyd.

Our mother was so many things. Her love for lions. The color green on everything, she loved watching the Chicago White Sox and the Green Bay Packers while jamming out to some great oldies and Motown. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and taking them swimming out at the lake. Denise was an avid pool player and was a card shark when it came to euchre. Her favorite as we all know was hanging out with Jack! There are no amount of words to sum up her like. She left a mark on everyone she encountered, and she is forever going to be missed.

Visitation for Denise will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm. Per Denise's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
