Devon Jamal Wade was a long-time resident of Joliet, Illinois and he was born on September 2, 1995, to Leon Wade Sr. and Delean Russell. Early in life he had to begin the fight against cancer and twice he won showing everyone he was unstoppable. Devon went on to school to brighten every life he ever entered. He cherished every person he ever came across and never made a single enemy. On his 21st birthday, fate aligned bringing him an undeniable lifelong love, when Katie Wade met his eyes. Their love was something everyone said they were hoping to find some day and on March 31, 2018, he became a compassionate irreplaceable husband. Devon followed every passion that ever hit his mind like gaming, his motorcycle, chess, and family. He was the brightest soul and biggest energy this world had ever seen. Entirely too soon and entirely unexpectedly, Devon was called by God to come home on, Wednesday, June 9th after a motorcycle accident on I-80 west bound, mile marker 125. His energy is forever in nature, and we will forever feel him in our hearts. We love you, Devon. Until we meet again Rest in Paradise.
