Dionicio Antunez, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 70.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Reina Antunez; children, Elizabeth Antunez, Diana Antunez, Gabriel (Veronica) Antunez, and Aileen Antunez; grandsons, Isaiah and David Aguirre; siblings, Francisco (Margaret) Antunez and Francisca Antunez.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel (Crisofora) Antunez and ten brothers and sisters.

Known for his unwavering kindness and infectious laughter, he made friends everywhere he went and touched the lives of all who knew him. A dedicated gardener who loved sharing good food and spending time with his children, he leaves behind cherished memories and countless stories. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

Visitation for Dionicio will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 4pm-8pm at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 205 E. Jackson Street, Joliet, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at
