Obituary

Dorothy G. Didier, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Survived by her children, Michael (Carissa) Didier, Denise (Thomas) Bach, Dori Doty, and Gayle (Steve) Briley; her grandchildren, Wes Didier, John Didier, Michaela Didier, Brett (Meredith) LaBerdia, Ryan Doty, Megan Doty, Ben Briley and Nick Briley and her great grandsons Cameron, Caden and Mason. Preceded in death by her husband, John J. Didier; her son, Gary Didier; her parents, Ludwig (Estelle) Gust and her sisters, Mildred Jean Pointec and Marthe A. Raschke. Dorothy was a tiny lady with a giant heart of gold. She was generous to a fault and put everyone else's needs ahead of her own. Her greatest goal in life was to be a good wife, mother, and grandmother, and she succeeded brilliantly at all of them. Dorothy was a self-proclaimed political and news junkie who could spend all day discussing world events. She loved to learn and was a voracious reader who constantly amazed us with her knowledge. Our mom loved the Lord with all her heart and even though we know she must have gotten the royal welcome when she got to heaven, we are going to miss her here on earth. Visitation for Dorothy will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
