Dorothy M. Sprinkle (nee Anderson), age 98, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Dorothy was born on January 14, 1925, in Paxton, Illinois. She was employed by the University of Illinois in Urbana prior to moving to Joliet in 1945. Dorothy worked for Chaney School District and the Wilco Area Career center. Dorothy was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Joliet, serving as a Deacon.

Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold E. Sprinkle; her parents, Adolph and Mary Anderson of Paxton, IL; sister, Edna Schulz of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Carl Anderson of Phoenix, AZ and her stepdaughter, Judith Henderson of Morris, IL.

Survived by her daughter, Madeline (William) Taylor of Simpsonville, SC; step-grandson, Scott Henderson of Tennessee; step-granddaughter, Melissa Peterson of Michigan and four step-great grandchildren, all from Morris, IL.

Per Dorothy's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 23060 W. Jefferson Street Joliet, IL, on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow next to her husband.
