Edward J. Mayer IV Age 59, passed away Saturday He is survived by his son Edward J. (Olivia) Mayer V, three step children Dan, Shannon, and Nina. Two grandchildren Edison and Oliver Mayer, his mother Kathleen (Nee Duval) Mayer, a sister Peggy Smith, a niece Audrey and Nephew Jason Smith and several cousins also survive. Edward was preceded in death by his father Edward J. Mayer the III, a brother Steven Mayer and his beloved grandmother Leona ' Grama Babe' Mayer. Ed was a 1976 graduate of Joliet West High School. He went on to work in the cabinet industry and retired from Pyramid Custom Cabinets in 2015. He enjoyed watching Chicago White Sox Baseball games and going to concerts with friends. Ed will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Visitation Saturday May 13, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 6:00PM. Memorial Service 6:00pm to 7:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home 3201 W Jefferson Street Joliet, IL . Immediately followed by a gathering at Heroes West in Joliet.
