Elizabeth R. Holmes (nee Shelley) Born on March 28, 1934 in Joliet, IL. Passed away peacefully on July 17, 2015 at home. Survived by her three sons Gary, Michael (Lori) and Randy (Lisa) Holmes; grandchildren Matthew (Courtney), Jason (Ashley); Jeremy, Jon (Laura), Hayley, Nicholas; Patrick and Nathan Holmes; nieces and nephews Amber (Tom) Dennison and Guy (Donna) Shelley; great-grandchildren Christian, Adalyn Rose and Nellie Holmes and her dearest sister Linda Shelley. Also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Holmes; parents John and Leona (nee McCleish) Shelley; brother John (Marilyn) Shelley; Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of Joliet. Graduated from St. Francis Academy. Member of the Paulettes of St. Paul Apostle Church, PSJMC Auxillary. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a Chapel Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park II (formerly Hills of Rest).
