Gerald "Jerry" D. White Sr., age 61, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. Survived by his children, Gerald "Duane" (Rhonda) White Jr. and Eric White; his grandchildren, Dustin White, Mackenzie White, Jorga White and Sydnee White; his brother, John (Judy) White; his sisters, Kathy (Mike) Dethrow and Cindy (John) White and his longtime friend and care giver, Ricki Wittchen. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles (Peggy) White and his brother, Chuck White. Jerry was an amazing man with a great sense of humor. Around his park people would call him the deer whisperer. He would get the deer to walk right up to him and eat out of his hand. Visitation for Jerry will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
