It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Harold Wayne Hubbard, lovingly known as Whamo, on March 26, 2024. He peacefully departed from this world at the University of Chicago after a hard-fought battle with lymphoma cancer.

Born on August 23, 1955, in LaFollette TN, he was a remarkable individual who led a fulfilling life. He resided in LaFollette, TN. Harold was the beloved son of Harold and Bonnie Hubbard. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for traveling the country in his RV, and riding his motorcycle.

Harold Wayne Hubbard shared his life and love with his devoted spouse, Mary Jane Hubbard. He was a cherished father to Jennifer Hubbard, Joshua Hubbard, John Hubbard and his stepchildren Thomas Catlin, Michael Catlin, Monica Llano, Nicholas Gallegos, Jeffery Chavez, Joseph Gallegos and Louis Gallegos. He also leaves behind 29 grandchildren and several surviving relatives and close acquaintances who will deeply miss him.

Funeral services for Harold will be held at the Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Wednesday April 3, 2024, at 7:30pm Visitation will take place from 4:00pm until time of services. As it was Harold's request, cremation rites will be accorded following services. In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you share any photos you may have as a tribute to his memory. Your presence and support during this difficult time are greatly appreciated.
