Jack L. Raley, age 87, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on, Monday, September 4, 2023.

Survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Raley; daughters, Lisa (Luis) Labrador, Jacqueline (Matthew) Raley-Boring, and Jo Anna (Steven) Laing; grandchildren, Virginia Fox, James Fox Jr., Cedric Boring, Raley (fiancé, Francisco Flores) Laing, Jack Laing, and London Labrador; dear friends, Larry (Verna) Mahalick; lifelong neighbors and friends, Doug (Kim) Shreve; sister-in-law, Irene DeAngelis. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ward (Marion) Raley; sister, Patricia (Clarence) Lew; in-laws, Sam (Angela) DeAngelis; sister-in-law's, Connie DeAngelis, and Phyllis (Robert) Znidarsic.

Jack retired from the Will County Carpenter, Union Local 174. He was dedicated to his union and its members. Besides being a carpenter, Jack and his wife, Virginia, owned Raley's Carpet and Furniture Cleaners for 38 years.

Jack loved and adored his wife Virginia as well as their three daughters. However, the pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren. He spent many hours playing and cheating at rummy with them. He was the proudest Papa on Earth.

Two other loves were his dogs Penny and Sam who will meet him on the Rainbow Bridge.

Memorial Mass for Jack will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 10:00 am., at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 1800 Dearborn Street, Crest Hill, IL. Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
