Jacqueline "Jackie" M. Mau, age 84, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Her family will continue to honor her legacy and live life to the fullest. If it was up to her, she would have loved to enjoy one last cookie and a slice of pie. Rest assured she will be pampered in a better place with pierogis and her favorite sweets.

Survived by her daughter; Cheryl (Max) Watts; grandchildren, Ryan (Kimberly) Watts, Heather (Joseph Gibson) Watts, and Zachary (fiancée Reena Dhawan) Watts; great grandchildren, Lilyana Watts, and Olivia Gibson; siblings, John (Sharon) Mikula and Carol Bazzarone; sister-in-law, Roberta Mau. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Jackie will be missed by Suzy Q, her beloved dog, who laid by her side.

Preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Mau; parents, John (Victoria) Mikula and her brother-in-law, Leon Bazzarone. Along with her most beloved dog Chloe who she loved like a daughter.

Jackie was the oldest of three, with her brother John and sister Carol. As a native to the Lockport area, Jackie attended Lockport High School and evolved into a real "jack of all trades" by pursuing multiple jobs while also finding her husband, Howard Mau, who were happily married for over 45 years. They shared one beautiful daughter, Cheryl, who gave them three beautiful grandchildren. Jackie enjoyed the meaningful moments in life, such as playing card games, being a wizard at TV game shows, and most importantly, spending quality time with family. She was always getting into shopping shenanigans and the department stores will definitely miss her presence.

Although we know Jackie's suffering has ended, we mourn the loss of a friend, sister, mother, and grandmother. We will carry her memories with us forever and share her stories to have her live on.

Funeral services for Jackie will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 Monday, December 5, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
