Obituary

Jacqueline (Jackie) Looper born on June 5, 1937 in Joliet, Illinois to Marian Crabbe, passed away peacefully Thursday night, July 15, 2021, at the age of 84 at Alden Estates of Shorewood. She was a loving mother of three, grandmother of six, great-grandmother of six, and dedicated friend to many. Jackie graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1955. Shortly after, she played a key role in creating the Volunteer Troy Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She spent many years working at the Boston Store, also as a receptionist at Twin Oaks Coiffeurs, as well as working with Gibson Cards at Pharmor. When she wasn't working, she was dedicating her life to her family in any way possible, traveling with her dearest friends was something that she always looked forward to, and she always had a special love for dogs. Anyone who knew Jackie knows how much she loved and cherished her family. Without a doubt, everyone knew upon meeting her, what a kind and compassionate woman she was. Jackie did not have a mean bone in her body. She was so accepting and welcoming to everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Crabbe, her son Michael Muentnich, and her husband, James A. Looper Sr. She is survived by her children, George Muentnich and Jill (Robert Sr.) Grey, her six grandchildren, Matt (Boung) Muentnich, Rob (Steph) Dorre, Kim Dorre, Kyrsten (Brent) Duchene, Jen Dorre, and Krissy Dorre. Jackie was also adored by her six great-grandchildren, Cole and Sadie Duchene, Kelsi and Kaden McCoy, and Adalinn and Colin Dorre. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Woodlawn Memorial Chapel in Joliet to celebrate her wonderful 84 years of life. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that monetary contributions in her name be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.
