Jea Marie M. Jones, age 18, passed away on, Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Survived by her parents, Victor and Glenda Jones; sister, Jasmine Jones; aunts and uncles, Diane (Troy) Lewis, Dorothy Kirkwood, Casi Lane, Nicole Russell, Raquel Montesa, Casano (Heidi) Montesa Jr., Joseph (Trixie) Montesa; grandparents, Casano Sr. and Maria Montesa. Numerous, Cousins and dear friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Sanders; grandfather, Sylvester Jones; aunt, Deborah Jones and her uncle, Lito Montesa

Jea Marie was a beautiful soul who tried to find her place in this world. She had a strong passion for Christ and wrestling. Physically, Jea was so strong and was able to pin down many of her opponents. She was a state qualifier for Downers Grove South wrestling team. Despite beginning her wrestling career not even two years ago, she has made so much progress and achieved so many milestones. Mentally, Jea tried her best to stay strong not only for herself but her family and friends as well. She made changes in her life that others would not be able to. Jea recently was baptized at Greater St John Bible Church in December 2023. She also enrolled at JJC to pursue social work to help others in her situation. Jea also belonged to the JJC wrestling team and would have had many accomplishments. Life didn't come easy for Jea, but she fought hard. She was and still is so beautiful inside and out. Mom, Dad and Jasmine will love and miss you forever. You will always be our poopy.

Funeral services for Jea Marie will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of services. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
