Jean Ann
Nestor
Apr 21, 1962 — Jul 26, 2023
Jean A. Nestor (nee Bostjancic), age 61, of Joliet passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with
cancer on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet with her loving family at her side.
Survived by her husband of 39 years Jeffrey Nestor, her children Joshua (Michelle) Nestor, Jessica
Nestor, her grandchildren Rae Nestor and Dean Nestor and her siblings Mary Gregory, John
Bostjancic and Nancy Wood, her brothers-in-law Wayne (Gayleen) Nestor and Shawn Nestor, and
numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents John and Joan (nee Shelton)
Bostjancic, her sister Joan Smith, her parents-in-law Ralph and Ursala Nestor, her step mother-in-law
Dolores Nestor, her brother-in-law Tony Gregory, her sister-in-law Diane Nestor and her niece Laura
Nestor. Jean was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. She married Jeffrey in 1984 and began
her family. Jean and Jeff were heavily involved in many facets of ministry at First Assembly of God, Joliet,
where they formed a true love of Christ and many lifelong friendships. Jean worked as a caregiver for
DHS but her caregiving nature did not stop at work, she cared for countless family and friends
throughout the years. Jean gave of herself tirelessly always putting others needs before her own. Even in
death, Jean is still giving as she donated her body to science in an effort to give back. Jean loved to
garage sale and had aspirations of finding unique glassware to create lawn ornaments to give to others
to beatify their yards, but she was too busy taking care of others that there was never enough time to
craft. Jean was also very family oriented, spending time with them brought her great joy and peace. Jean
was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend but above all, Jean was a Christian, her
devotion to Christ and her acts of mercy is what she will be most remembered for. Visitation for Jean
will take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 3-7:00P.M. Funeral service will take place the same
evening at 7:00P.M. with Pastor Wayne Nestor officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Farkas Funeral
Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL 60431, 815-725-0100, www.farkasfuneralhome.com.
