Jessica Ann
Gruber
May 30, 1981 — Jul 28, 2026
Jessica Ann Gruber, age 45, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1981 and resided in Illinois most of her life and was employed as a Registered Nurse. Jessica is survived by her parents, Joy Gruber, Jeff (Sara Sacra) Gruber; brother, Joel (Jessica) Gruber; nieces, Natalie and Noelle. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Millard (Jeanne) Gruber, William (Lucille) Till, and Shirley Edwards.
Jessica was a vibrant, studious woman who loved her Alaskan Malamute, Loki and her two cats, Fyo and Zazzles. She graduated from Purdue University with a BS and from University of Essex in Colchester, England with a master's degree in human rights. That wasn't enough schooling for her, so she attended and graduated from Chamberlain University Nursing School with a BSN Degree. She worked in senior care providing nursing services to those needing rehabilitation and long-term care. Jessica believed in caring for and helping people get through life in both the good and not so good times. She truly loved her clients and being a nurse.
In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue Association. www.iamra.org
