Joan Laverne Marks (nee Beyer), age 90, passed away in Marietta, GA on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 30, 1930. Daughter to Francis and Martha (Boone) Beyer. Born again to Jesus on November 16, 1973. Preceded in death by her loving husband, William Gene Marks; brothers, Donald, Francis, Richard, Jimmy, Raymond; her sister, Florence (Beyer) Wallen and son-in-law Raymond Stark. Survived by her children, Steven (Mary), Christine Stark, William (Jennie), Janice Torrence (Daniel) and Joann Napolitano (Ralph). Loving Gramma and GG to 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She attended Calumet High School in Chicago, IL and was a retired Teachers Aid from Oak Forest Christian Academy. Funeral service for Joan will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 Friday, January 8, 2021 from 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
