Joanne Kay Carlin On June 28, 2020 at 6:49 pm, Joanne, died at age of 74 years old in her home in Plainfield, Ill. Joanne Kay Carlin was born in Knoxville, Ill on the 10 of December 1945. Joanne was a fiancée, mother, daughter and sister, and Joanne will be forever remembered for her immense capacity to show and share love; and her giving nature. Joanne had four bouts with cancer throughout her life, but never let go of her love of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents Joanne Alta Carlson and Kenneth Wilber Carlson of Galesburg, Ill, a sister Sandy Carlson of NJ and brother Kenneth Carlson of Ill. She is survived by her brother Carl Logan Carlson and one daughter, her fiancée Brent Veleker, cherished God Daughter Christy Carvin and ex-husband (friend) James Carlin. Joanne will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Joanne completed higher education, 2 Bachelor's degrees and 1 Masters. She was employed as a teacher, mortgage bank owner, and self-employed in a successful coffee equipment business and several other enterprises. Joanne will be interred at the Oakwood Cemetery, in Macomb, Ill in the family cemetery site. Any donations should be given in her name, Joanne Kay Carlin, to Cancer Society
