John C. Buendgen 'Jay' Passed away on November 14, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Survived by his wife of 30 years Kathy L. (nee Orr) Buendgen; his son Jayson (Debbie) and daughter Dana (Mike) Cannon; grandchildren Ashley E., Ashley C., Brendon, Emily and Maddie; great-grandchildren Johnny, Duke, Piper and Mackenzie; sister Kathy Coleman and his brother Mike (Kathy) Buendgen. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by parents William and Pauline (nee Kelly) Buendgen and his brother Barry Buendgen. Jay was a Tool and Die Maker for Dukane Corporation in West Chicago. He was a diehard Sox fan and an avid bowler who loved playing cards. But most importantly, Jay loved spending time with his grandkids enjoying their time at the water park. Visitation will be held at the Waterman United Methodist Church from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 18, 2016. An additional visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Joliet on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Private Family inurnment will be held.
