John Charles Chickerillo, age 66, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

John was a talented auto mechanic who spent his free time riding his motorcycle and caring for his various animals.

John loved and cherished his family with his whole heart.

Survived by his mother, Barbara Mason; father, Joseph Chickerillo; children, Shawn, Kristal, and Nicholas Rittenberry; grandchild, Shontez; sisters, Toni, Donna and Karen; brother, Joseph; longtime partner, Kim Rowland. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his sister, Diane.

Someone never needed to be blood for John to consider them his family, he was a beloved Poppa to Joseph and Victoria Rowland, Brittany Tyus, and those he fondly considered his grands, Noah, Jojo, Enzo and Milo.

John will truly be missed by so many and not just those listed here. He was an amazing father and friend to those he held dear. John was the biggest animal lover, and cared for any and all animals that would come his way. He even had an outdoor squirrel he lovingly named, Red. John truly enjoyed being on his motorcycle and ride through the woods every chance he could. His favorite riding partner, Mary Toomey, could attest to his love for the road and freedom he would feel.

John left us too soon but the love he gave out will live on. The loss of John will be felt deeply by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please jot down and send you favorite memories and or old photos of you and John to his daughter, Kristal, kristalmritt@icloud.com. These will be displayed later at a memorial that will be planned for the summertime. Per John's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
