Martini
Nov 25, 1947 — Jun 7, 2024
John P. Martini "Giampietro," 76, of Homer Glen, Illinois, passed away on June 7, 2024. Born on November 25, 1947, in Revo, Italy, he was the eldest child of Joe and Angela Martini.
In life, John was a hardworking individual who dedicated himself to providing for his family. He began working at a young age, building apple crates for a local orchard. He later spent three years in the seminary near Padua, Italy, before immigrating to the United States in 1966 on the USS Independence to pave the way for his family's arrival in 1967.

Throughout his career, John worked for US Steel, Amerwire, and retired from Crane Kemlite. After retirement, he pursued his interest in woodcarving and showcased his creations at various local art fairs, providing walking support to many with the canes and staffs he crafted.
John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Martini (nee Rogers), daughter Victoria (Adam) Martini-Rosowicz, siblings Mary Martini, Joan Martini, and Charlie Martini, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Angela Martini.
