Jose L. Padilla, age 64, passed away on, Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Survived by his wife of 35 years, Celia Padilla; children, Jose Padilla Jr., Moses (Johanna) Padilla, Zachary Martinez, and David Lee (Jessica) Padilla; grandchildren, Jazmine, Alycia, and Tianna; great grandson, Santiago; sister, Irene (Angie) Cano; brother and sister in law's, Domingo (Ventia) Sanchez, Carlos (Nancy) Sanchez, Daniel (Joann) Sanchez, Tino Sanchez, Ernie (Brenda) Sanchez. Numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends also survive

Preceded in death by his parents, Louis (Gladys) Padilla and his sisters, Gerry Laureano, and Sally Padilla

Jose enjoyed spending time with his family has much as he could. He loved to fish and everything there was about football. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. In his own words, "Go Bears!" He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Jose will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, 5:00 PM at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00pm until time of services. Interment will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
