Jose S. Ramirez, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 1, 2021. Survived by his children, Dottie Jane Ramirez and Mercy Ruth Ramirez; the mother of his children, Emily Flores; his parents, Jose (Maria) Ramirez; his siblings, Orlando (Griselda) Ramirez and Yesenia (Adan) Rojas; his two cousins, Armando and Alexis Dominguez; his nieces and nephews, Miguel Angel Ramirez, Oceana Ramirez, Nayeli Rojas, Esperanza Rojas and AJ Rojas; his Uncles, Ismael (Norma) Dominguez and Leonel (Laura) Arellano and his half siblings, Raul (Anna) Ramirez, Rosalina Ramirez, Marcela Ramirez and Maria Del Rosario (Pepe) Diaz. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Santiago Ramirez, Petra Murillo, Ismael Dominguez and Erlinda Garcia. Jose Santiago or as most people have known him as "Chago", was a funny hard-working person that loved to please everyone. As a boy he was a funny jokester that always had a smile on his face. Always saying he was going to be a comedian and fix cars. I wish he had reached his goals. We all saw him differently; he was someone I had to protect and make sure he was doing great. To our dad he was a happy guy that loved to party and always worked hard that he didn't have to tell what he needed to do. To Orlando he was his little brother that he had to protect from other people and work on cars together. Oh, the memories will forever be cherished in our hearts. Chago loved his girls with all his heart. They were his everything. Emily was the love of his life, the one that he picked to have his kids because she was so much like him and loved to do the same things he did. Chago was an amazing son, brother, father and friend. Loved by so many. You are leaving so many people with a hole in their hearts but with so many amazing memories. We love you forever little brother. Funeral services for Jose will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services. Per Jose's wishes cremation rites will be accorded following services. In accordance with the current COVID-19 guidelines, all attendees will be required to wear a face mask and observe social distancing while in the funeral home.
