Joyce Ann Kowalczyk (nee Saxen), age 73, passed away with her family at her side on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Survived by her husband, Theodore J. Kowalczyk; her children, Clifford R. (Christine) Kowalczyk and Kurt J. Kowalczyk; her grandchildren, Cody H. (Brittany Lopez) Kowalczyk, Shelby R. Kowalczyk, Jessica M. (Jonathon Brambila) Kowalczyk, Samantha A. Kowalczyk and Colton G. Kowalczyk. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, George (Sonja) Saxen and her brothers, Glen Saxen and Roy (Betty) Saxen. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had many hobbies she loved to do including, fishing, bowling, scrap booking, attending Cubs games, walking her dogs and making crafts. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private family mass will be held. Inurnment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donation made in her name to Transitions Hospice (1551 Bond St. Suite 143, Naperville, IL 60563) would be appreciated.
