Juan Salinas Sr. Juan Salinas Sr., age 69. Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2015 with his loving family beside him. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Maria Elena (Velasquez) Salinas; two sons Juan Salinas Jr. of Joliet, Illinois and Ricardo Salinas of Mission, Texas; 5 grandchildren Stephanie M., Ricardo A., Marissa, Alexis, and Alicia M. Salinas; one great-grandchild, Tristan R. Salinas; daughter-in-law Marina (the late Estevan) Salinas. Also survived by numerous family members in Joliet, Illinois and Mission, Texas. Preceded by his parents, brothers and sisters and one son, Estevan Salinas. Juan was a previous longtime resident of Joliet, Illinois. Ten years ago Juan retired back to his birthplace of Mission, Texas Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Joliet. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2016 at Rick Brown Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. Interment at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas.
