Judith A.
Grant
Jun 9, 1946 — Jul 5, 2024
Judith A. Grant, age 78, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles Grant; daughters, Robin McCormick, and Penny (Jonathan) Brewer; grandchildren, Tim (Ryann) Hayes, Jackie Hayes, Matthew Hill, Nathan Hill, Clorissa (Jose) Medina, Corey Brewer, Kenneth Brewer, Cameron Brewer, Jonathan (Tanisha) Johnson, Jacob McCormick, and Zoie McCormick; great-grandchildren, Nyla, Laylah, Kayson, Landon, Sienna, and Carter; daughter in law, Judith McCormick. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her son, Jeff McCormick; parents, and all of her 7 siblings.
Judy had a very full life. In 1965 she was a very young bride and started her family of three children who couldn't have dreamed of a more loving mom for themselves. Being the youngest of 8 siblings she had many examples of what a parent should be for her children to follow.
Her best life really began in 1986 when she met the love of her life, her husband Charles Grant, and married in 1987.
1987 was also the year she became a grandmother. This role was a dream come true for her. She truly shined the brightest when she was with her grandkids. She was so devoted to all of them. She was there for all of them for their birthdays, graduations, sports events, cheering them on relentlessly, weddings, etc.
She was the kindest. She was always giving, always looking at the positives life gave to her. She loved in a way that deeply touched everyone in her life with an everlasting impact. These included her many friends of more than 50 years in some cases, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was a pillar of strength that we all could count on at any given moment it was needed. This was her gift we will hold in our hearts forever.
Besides being a mom, sister, friend, grandmother, aunt, etc. she loved to cook, garden, read romance novels, Disney movies, traveling, The Cubs, dancing, dolphins and so many other things. She was proud of all those she loved.
