Judith A. Reitz January 21, 1947 – January 31, 2019 Judy passed on January 31st to enjoy a heavenly pain free life with those who were waiting to welcome her. Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Irene Reitz (nee Laurencell), father George Reitz Sr., many aunts, uncles & cousins. Judy will be missed by those left behind. She is survived by her brother George Reitz Jr., his wife Mary Reitz (nee Farrell), nephew George Reitz III, niece Laurie Barker (nee Reitz), her husband Andy Barker, great nieces Kaitlynn Barker and Madison Barker, great nephew Jacob Barker, Aunt Charlotte and many cousins. Judy spent most of her life in the Hickory Hills and Oak Lawn area. However, she greatly enjoyed getting away to the family property on Park Lake in Pardeeville Wisconsin, which held a special place in Judy's heart. Judy was known to her family and friends as a talented artist. If you look at many of her paintings, they are landscapes that include scenery from the area around the family property near Park Lake in Wisconsin, where she loved to get away to when she could. You will also find landscapes, sunsets and other general stores and many other talented paintings among her work. Judy's talent didn't end with painting, she was also skilled in being able to teach others the ability to paint as well. Most recently Judy enjoyed spending her time with her beloved boxer, Brandi who she adored. She also enjoyed her time with some new friends she had made over the last few years. Judy will be missed by her family, friends and of course Brandi. Funeral services will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 10:00AM until time of service.
