Kathy L. Buendgen, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Survived by her daughter, Dana (Mike) Cannon; stepson, Jayson (Debbie) Buendgen; grandchildren, Ashley Cannon, Emily Cannon, Maddie Cannon, Ashley Mills and Brendan Mills; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jayson, Johnny, Duke, and Piper; brother, James (Debbie) Orr; nieces, Tracie Woods, Dawn (Julio) Arteaga, Robin Cunningham, and Jessica Orr; nephews, Lee Sine Jr., and James Orr III. Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband, John Buendgen; parents, James and Peggy Orr and her sister, Barbara (Lee Sr.) Sine.

Kathy was a true animal lover, all kinds of animals. While taking care of her own cats she also took care of the stray cats in her neighborhood or rescuing an animal. She also loved spending time with her grandkids. Going to Florida or the Dells was one of her favorite things to do with them. She was trying to schedule one more trip with them. Kathy loved spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held at the Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. As it was Kathy's request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
