Obituary

Kenneth (Ken) Michael Kinzler, age 55, of Oak Park, IL passed away unexpectedly April 30, 2024. Ken was born November 19, 1968.

Ken is survived by his mother, Ruth Kinzler (Welter); his daughter, Lily Ruth Kinzler; his life partner; Kelly Allison; stepchildren, Wyatt, and Bee Allison; his brother, Keith Kinzler (Tiffeny), and beloved nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Kinzler, and Lily's loving mother, Jennifer Larson.

A proud graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy, Ken furthered his education at Northern Illinois University, where he earned a degree in finance.

Ken was a devoted son, an amazing father to Lily, Bee, and Wyatt and a kind and loving partner to his soulmate Kelly. Ken was Lily's biggest advocate and always present in her life. His encouragement and guidance have made Lily the amazing person she is today.

His love for laughter and telling stories brightened the lives of those around him. He was a devoted Chicago sports fan, had an artistic eye and developed a passion for estate sales and mid-century furniture. Ken was an excellent conversationalist and listener, and an avid family photographer.

Ken's impact in his lifetime reached far; he left behind a legacy of unforgettable moments that will be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known him.

"We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made and the people we loved. So, make sure your story is a good one."
