Kevin Joseph Spellman, age 27 of Plainfield, IL, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 6, 2022, with his parents by his side. Beloved son of John and Sharon Spellman, devoted brother to Stephan Spellman, adored nephew of Donna (Colin) Hill, Christine Williams (loving boyfriend Dave Pajak), Susan (Don) Evers, Joanne (Chuck) Ruder, Scott (Debbie) Spellman, Tom (loving aunt Elizabeth, deceased) Spellman, Chris (Kathy) Spellman, Dan (Maria) Spellman and Joy Spellman. Loving Grandson of Jack Mockus and loved by many cousins. Preceded in death by his doting grandparents, Donald and Josephine Williams and Judy Mockus; beloved aunts, Camille White (survived by loving husband James (Teresa) White; and, always special uncles, Richard Williams (survived by loving fiancée Vivian Ruiz-Howard) and Ronald Spellman (survived by loving wife Diana (Hassan) Peterson, and his sympatico cousin, Tristan Hill. Kevin graduated from Plainfield South in 2012 and took college courses periodically as he sought to nurture the path to the dreams he carried with him. He loved spending time with family and friends. Kevin had many passions in life including classic rock and roll music (favorites were Metallica, Rush and Supertramp), big screen movies, the Chicago White Sox and especially the Indianapolis Colts. Kevin had a heart of gold and was always willing to help a friend or family member. As a dear and very close friend wrote, Kevin was loving, caring, respectful and kind. That was Kevin, everyone that knew him spoke of his kindness and how he was always ready to give a hug. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him. Kevin is soaring with the angels now and is surrounded by heavenly love. We love you, Kevin; your smile will always be etched in our hearts, and we will never forget you. Per Kevin's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431.
