Settle, Leila M. Born August 14, 1930, in Chicago, died May 1, 2017, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Jack, whimsical mother of Janet (Brad Winick) and Marta Scaramelli, grandmother of Daniel Scaramelli (Ashley), David Scaramelli (Cindy Kassinger), Michael Scaramelli (Joe Lamancuso), and Max Settle-Winick, great-grandmother of Landon and Logan Scaramelli, and aunt, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by parents Alfred and Violet Buckner, and son John. Chemist, band booster, multi-disciplinary visual artist, games aficionado, reader of mysteries, and 'Barge Babe'. Memorial service Saturday, May 6, at 10:30am, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice.
