Lois A. Opiela, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

Survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert Opiela; children, Lora (Russ) Burrow, and Larry (Lori) Opiela; grandchildren, Norlene Burrow, Nadine (Craig) Boutin-Burrow, and Jonathan Opiela; great-grandchildren, Carl, Neill, and Brooks Boutin; brother, Bill (Lynne) Slavick; nephew, Bill (Liz) Slavik, and her niece, Laura (Joe) Volsak.

Preceded in death by her parents, Clifford (Ann) Slavik.

A celebration of life for Lois will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Wednesday July 10, 2024, from 4:00pm- 8:00pm. Inurnment will be held at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Aurora, MN at a later date.
