Obituary

Lola Louise Stewart, born on March 19, 1938, in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on July 13, 2026, in Naperville, Illinois.

Lola lived a life marked by love, kindness, and generosity, and she will be remembered by all who knew her for the warmth she brought into every room and every relationship. She carried herself with grace and strength throughout her life, and her devotion to family was the center of everything she did. Her presence was a steady source of comfort, encouragement, and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to be cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie McLennan, and her husband, Bradley McLennan, as well as her son, Jule Conrad, and his wife, Ruth Conrad. She was a proud grandmother to Jason Conrad, Amy Conrad, Jillian Alexander and her husband Shawn Alexander, and Samantha Liebermann, and she treasured each of them deeply. Lola was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Addison, Lucas, Camryn, Cole, and Brody, who brought her great happiness and pride. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Gorczyca and her husband Jim Gorczyca, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings and their beloved parents, Rev. Manley and Grace Lee Stewart, whose memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Lola devoted 42 years of her working life to American Flange, where she was respected for her dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Her long career reflected the same steadfast character that defined her life outside of work. She was someone others could count on, and she took pride in doing her part with care and commitment. The friendships and connections she formed over the years were a meaningful part of her life, and her contributions were appreciated by those who worked alongside her.

Outside of work, Lola found her greatest joy in her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed spoiling her grandkids whenever she could. Her love for them was evident in the way she remembered the little things, shared in their milestones, and made each of them feel special. Her family was the heart of her world, and she gave them her love freely and without hesitation.

Those who knew Lola will remember her as a loving, kind, and generous woman who gave of herself in countless ways. Her life was a testament to the value of family, hard work, and simple joys. She touched many lives with her compassion and her steady presence, and her memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the example she set will remain a lasting blessing to her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

To honor the wishes of Lola, the family will not be holding any formal funeral services. However, a memorial celebration will be arranged in the future.

In remembrance of Lola's life, memorial contributions can be made to AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center 2195 W Diehl Rd, Naperville, IL 60563.
