Louise Bates was born June 6, 1930 in Ida, Alabama to John and Novella (nee Cagle) Tinker. She passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington. Louise was a loving companion, mother, grandmother and friend to many, and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Bates is survived by her children Rabon (Donna) Bates, Kathy (Michael Bixler) DeRosa, John Bates, Ronnie (Amy) Bates, Marchell (Edward) Thornton, Teresa (Clyde) Lenzen, Donna (Jr.) Workman, Deborah (Roger) Gundersen and Stanley Bates. 56 grandchildren ;69 great grandchildren and 2you great great grandchildren ; sister Shirley Hurst; sister-in-law Beulah; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel, parents and brothers Marvin and Larry Tinker. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 PM - 8 PM at Windridge Funeral Home, 104 High Rd. (just west of Rt. 14 and Main St.) Cary and again on Tuesday at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel from 12 PM until 1 PM, Burial will follow.
