Luella A. Branchaw (nee Craft), age 88, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Survived by her children, Mary (Michael) Hague, Catherine (Wayne) Sutor, Judi (Howard) Leftin, Rebecca (Jeff) Ecton, Joseph (Cherri) Branchaw, John (Tracy) Branchaw, Edward (Julie) Branchaw and Charles (Janet) Branchaw; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and her son-in-law, William Kennard. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Preceded in death her husband, Edward L. Branchaw; her daughter, Patricia Kennard; her parents, Edwin (Luella) Craft; her sisters, Betty Lampman and Evelyn Vella. Luella would say, "I think a farm is the best place to live - just think about what you can grow!" She made growth her life's work. She raised a family and cultivated their faith. She produced a garden from which she cooked and baked to her family's delight. She extended her knowledge to three generations through wit and humility. Visitation for Luella will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1329 Belleview Ave., Rockdale, IL 60436, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at S.S.
