Lynda S. Hargis, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Survived by her husband of 51 years, Scott Hargis; sons, Brian Hargis, and Jason (Tina Daley) Hargis; grandchildren, Heather Hargis, David Hargis, Hailey (Devin McGreal) Hargis, and Jordan Hargis; step grandchildren, Katelyn Deal and Chelsea Deal; great grandchildren, Alaina Eckert, Jaxon Eckert, Bentley Cox, Charlee Deal, and Autumn Lidicki; brothers, John T. Dixon, and Charles J. (Debbie) Dixon. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and family also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles (Mary) Dixon; sister, Kathy Grzetich.

Lynda was born and raised in Joliet and Troy township. She attended Joliet West High School and went onto her senior year at Minooka Community High School, class of 1971. She met the love of her life, Scotty during senior year and they were married on July 30, 1971. Lynda was an avid reader and loved puzzles. She devoted her life to raising her sons and later being there for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lynda will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services for Lynda will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until time of services. Per Lynda's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
