Lynn E. Torrens, age 83, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Lynn was born on August 6, 1943, to Russel and Betty Laird. She graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet. Lynn ran her own salon in Aurora with 15 stylists under her belt. Lynn retired from the City of Joliet as a copy center manager. She enjoyed puzzle books, watching Lifetime Network, Law and Order, General Hospital and most of all shopping with her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Betty Laird, stepfather, Walter Danks, brother, William Danks.

Survived by her son, Antonio (Sherry) Torrens; daughter, Lisa Torrens; brother, Robert (Holly) Laird; grandchildren, Gabby (Donald) Torrens-Brewer, Marco, Lucas Torrens, Breanna, Olivia Burbridge; great grandchildren, Josiah, Isiah, Layla and Alizah; her loving pup, Tootsie. Also survived by many cousins and friends she loved.

A celebration of life for Lynn will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL from 10:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am.
