Maggie L. Penney (nee Riden) Age 90. At rest on May 6, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her family by her side. Survived by her children Sandra K. Penney, Elizabeth L. Cox -Discher (William) , Joseph (Debbie) Wright, Catherine Stone, and Theresa (John) Chick; two brothers Harold (The late Louise) and Max Riden, two sisters Sara Jo Riden, Virginia (the late Robert) Vandiver. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents Sam H. and Martha E. (nee Cooper) Riden; her loving husband of 32 years Leroy J. Penney; brothers Amos, Carey, Ivan (Peggie), Warren and Wayne (the late Eleanor) Riden; sisters Marie (the late Arval) Wall and Louzelle (the late James) Walker and special In-laws Mae Jean 'Sis' (the late Raymond) Gillispie and their son Greg Gillespie and their son Greg Gillespie.. Born in Athens, Tennessee and moved to Joliet where her and her husband started an ice cream business in Joliet. Owners of the Arctic Frost Company until her husbands passing in 1982. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Maggie''s name would be appreciated. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Woodlawn Funeral Home from 9:00-11:00 AM. A Chapel service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM.
