Marie I. DeAmicis (nee Kopp), age 83, passed peacefully at her daughters' home on Friday, May 8, 2020. Survived by her daughter, Dawn (Rick) MacDonald; her 11 grandchildren, Nicholas MacDonald, Tyler MacDonald, Kaitlyn MacDonald, Michelle DeAmicis, Marlene DeAmicis, Elizabeth Bishop, Sarah Bishop, Hannah Bishop, Samuel Bishop, Rebecca Bishop and Joshua Bishop; her two brothers, Larry (Cheryl) Kopp and Kenny (Theresa) Kopp; her brother-in-law Mike Sinsko and her sister-in-law Nancy Kopp. Survived by 10 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. DeAmicis; her parents, Joseph (Irene) Kopp; her brother Jim Kopp and her sister, Shelby Sinsko. Marie touched the lives of those who met her. She put others happiness before hers. Marie met the love of her life, Daniel DeAmicis and was married for 57 years before his passing. Marie worked for the Kennedy Space Center and loved to share stories of her work. Marie loved all her grandchildren and they were the joy of her life. Funeral services for Marie will be held on at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Families of Faith Church, 24466 W. Eames Street, Channahon, IL 60410. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
