Marilyn Jo Larson (nee Sleyko) age 80, passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side on Monday September 21, 2026.

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Hazel (nee Swanson) Sleyko.

Survived by her husband, Richard, 3 feline sons; sister-in-law, Linda Larson; cousin, David Swanson; cousin, Joyce Swanson; her BFF, Marilyn Szepelak, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marilyn was a friend to anyone she met, and always the smartest person in the room. She was a passionate animal advocate. Her advocacy provided her with a strength that had no bounds. Marilyn's love of animals has allowed her to cross the Rainbow Bridge to be with all of them she encountered in life.

Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00AM.
